I have sucessfully done with Red Hat/Fedora Directory Server. So, any directory server derivated from Netscape Directory Server should be able to sync with AD.

thank you ivan,
At the moment I am using Novell's edirectory. It doesnt seem to have any built in tools for syncing with windows AD.

by the way, when you use fedora DS or Red Hat DS, did you use any third party tools or is the feature built into fedora DS or Red Hat DS available?

The feature is built in, but you do need to install an "agent" on the windows server. But this "agent", PassSync.msi, is provided by Red Hat/Fedora DS.

Also, taking a look from the other side of the road, you can test Microsoft Directory Synchronization Services (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/sfncompsum.mspx)
