how enablement of inetd login could help in troubleshooting
dear HPUX gurus,
if i enable inetd by issuing this command:
# inetd -l
# inetd -c
what is the impact? how this enablement of inetd could help us? where can i find the login?

inetd information is logged to the syslog.log file in the /var/adm/syslog directory.
It can help you to troubleshoot problem with processes that are started via inetd.

#inetd -c ,would actually reconfigure the Internet daemon; in other words, force the
current inetd to reread /etc/inetd.conf. This option sends the signal SIGHUP to the Internet daemon that is currently running. Any configuration errors that occur during the reconfiguration are logged to the syslogd daemon facility.
