how to backup IVM guest OS - windows

dear HPUX gurus,
we have IVM (the host is running on HPUX and guests are running on HPUX and windows). how to backup the windows guest?
the disk presented from hosts to guest are source from HP SAN storage.
HPUX guest, we are using ignite server. hope to hear from you. thank you

I assume you use windows tools, Data Protector, netbackup etc.

From the manual:

"Physical tapes, media
changers, and CD/DVDburners are attachable; they can be used to performdata backups directly
from a virtual machine (see Section 7.1.3.2.2 (page 92))."

additional query as off now.
can ignite perform the ghost image for windows? system administration wise, we are looking for centralised tool. currently we are using ignite server to do system backup for hpux.

Hy,

We use the san DS8300 storage flashcopy utility to backup the SO that is configured as raw disks. it's called Buisness copy on HP storage, just a bit to bit copy of the disk but it's done by the storage.

For some HPVM that have their SO disk as a lvm raw device we are use mirrors.

And the file disks of SOs we copy with TSM on the host.
