in case of trusted systems:

1 how to lock the user acc?

2 how to unlock the user acc?

Hi

check the second field in /etc/passwd it should be *
check the man pages for (modprpw)it will give all option

Hi,

The below command will tell you that your system is trusted or not:

For Trusted System:
#/usr/lbin/getprdef -r
NO, 0, 8, 0, 0, -1, 0, YES, YES, NO, NO, NO, YES, 3, 10, 2, 0

Not Trusted System:
#/usr/lbin/getprdef -r
System is not trusted.

>>1 how to lock the user acc?
#/usr/lbin/modprpw -l user1

>>2 how to unlock the user acc?
#/usr/lbin/modprpw -l -k user1

>>3 how to reset the passwd?
#/usr/lbin/modprpw -x user1

Another simple way of checking if the system is trusted would be /tcb directory existance.

#ll /tcb
