how to compute the disk i/o speed?

Hi, friends ,
My hp n4000 box is connect to va7400 through hp Brocade switches, the interface on HP box is two pci 2* fibrie channel adapter.
I wish to know disk i/o speed the hp4000 get ?
if I wish to increase the i/O speed, will adding va7400 controller do help?

The VA7400 has very sophisticated performance measurements capabilities. Information about your specific workload is recorded as the system runs and can be displayed via the armperf command (Command View sdm). Read these two white papers. Performance measurement and management of a complex art/science.

try using iostat -t 4
or glance.
you can identify disk device hot spots like so.
