how to find the cliamed tape drive

during ioscan -fnC tape command below mentioned output shows.but so many tape drive shows in claimed state .physically server connected 3 ultrium tape drive (this located in msc6000)

kindly find the attached output

It looks like these are fibre connected devices. How may fibre cards do you have in your system? How many connections from your server to the msc6000?

My guess is that the server is seeing each different path to the drives as a unique drive.

1 fiber chanel card connected in server

Please run ioscan -funC fc & check the drives connected to the FC path.

Even a stacked MSL6000 can have not more than 16 drives - but you have around 30!
Please tell some more details about your configuration (how many drives, connection details, etc ...).

Are you connecting to these tape drives directly or through a SAN switch? If through a switch, check your zoning, do you have other devices zoned in with this server and library?

First of all I would connect to the NSR and check the mapping.
