how to jail a user?

team,

please help me to make a user called debit to jail. to his home directory alone!

Did you mean chroot jail?

What OS version you are using? HP-UX 11iv3 won't support chroot jail ( I guess ).

Hi,

never thought about that - what's about not giving him executable rights for the parent directory?
dr-xr-xr-- 39 root root 4096 19. Mai, 12:13 ..

Also possible: an alias for him for 'cd'
