hp-health will not unload

Hi all: I have a BIG problem with my older DL385 G1 servers running SLES10 SP3 and OES2 and 3. I have all the latest management software installed (8.60).

The problem is that hp-health (hp-asmd) will not unload properly and will hang the servers on a restart forcing a hard restart. A simple unload via "/etc/init.d/hp-health stop" will fail too.

Anyone have a fix for this?

Use lsof to locate the dependent files the asmd process has opened.. You will likely find clues there.
