hp-ux 11.31 new user
I have created a new user on my hp-ux 11i v3 but when I try to login to my system I get the NO Shell error and no more.

Hi,
Check into /etc/passwd file for login shell.
#cat /etc/passwd|grep -i
And last field in output is startup shelll defined for that user. Look out there for any faulty entry.

Hi,
please check the shell given in /etc/passwd for the given user.
if the shell is nologin, then user will not get a shell at the time of login.
