hp-ux restore on Integrity
I make backup of system disk with make_tape_recovery command. What is procedure to restore system disks. Must I first also backup efi partition. How I can do that and where to put those efi files. Can you tell me all procedure.
If I choice another option; to install OS again (what is probable easier way on integrity, because of efi)what is procedure to make other disks (other volume group & logical volumes) visable again?

Re: hp-ux restore on Integrity
Shalom Dusan,
There is a restore procedure for Integrity, you should not have to redo the Install.

Re: hp-ux restore on Integrity
I just rebuilt a HP Integrity Superdome npar from an Ignite Tape by booting first from the HP-UX 11i v2 Mission Critical Operating Environment CD.
From the EFI Boot Maintenance Manager Main Menu, select Boot from File. Choose your CDROM from the list.
Select INSTALL.EFI
At the HP-UX installation/recovery process screen, choose Advanced Options, press OK
Next screen, choose Install HP-UX, choose Media only installation and Advanced Installation (if you need to make disk, filesystem changes)
Next screen, choose CD/DVD Installation, go through all of your tabs and make system changes, finally hit "go" and system will install from the Ignite Tape.
Hope this helps,
Andy
