hpacucli for x86_64
I'm on an HP DL380 G7, RedHat 6.0 and I added
http://downloads.linux.hp.com/SDR/downloads/ProLiantSupportPack/RedHat/6.0/x86_64/current/
as a new repository into /etc/yum.repos.d/
Trying to 'yum install hpacucli' fails due to missing i386 glibc etc. dependencies.
Indeed hpacucli's entry in
http://downloads.linux.hp.com/SDR/downloads/ProLiantSupportPack/RedHat/6.0/x86_64/current/repodata/primary.xml.gz
shows
I'm wondering is there a hpacucli binary available for x86_64 only systems?

Re: hpacucli for x86_64
So, at this time, ensure that you have access to EL6 repositories (from media or RHN) containing both 32 and 64 bit packages, and in general, you'd have to:
yum install
For this specific situation, you'll likely want to execute this command:
yum install libstdc++-4.4.4-13.el6.i686
to satisfy the necessary dependency.

Re: hpacucli for x86_64
I don't think we want to add 32bit infrastructure just for this one tool.
Is there any concrete plan when hpacucli will be properly ported to 64bit?

Re: hpacucli for x86_64
Hi Tobias,
any progress on getting a 64bit version of hpacucli for centos 6 ?
I'm trying to install it (32 bit), but I'm getting,
/opt/compaq/hpacucli/bld/.hpacucli: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
when trying to run it, I'm searching the web installing all sorts of bits and pieces, to no avail,
maybe I should move to 32 bit version of centos ? seems like a bit of a step backwards though,
thanks for any help/advice/info, (or even sympathy !)
Gerald

Re: hpacucli for x86_64
Does centos 7 version of hpacucli exist?
I tried all of these rpms, but none works.
hpacucli-8.75-12.0.noarch.rpm
hpacucli-9.0-24.0.noarch.rpm
hpacucli-9.10-22.0.x86_64.rpm
hpacucli-9.40-12.0.x86_64.rpm
In all cases I'm getting message "Error: No controllers detected."
According to lspci output, the server has supported by hpacucli controller:
# lspci -v | grep RAID -A 1
02:00.0 RAID bus controller: Hewlett-Packard Company Smart Array Gen8 Controllers (rev 01)
Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company P420i
