Re: hpvm 4.1

Yes.

HP Integrity Virtual Machines B.04.10 is supported on HP Integrity servers or nPartitions running HP-UX 11i v3 (April 2009 0903 or later). When you upgrade or reinstall Integrity VM, guests are stopped, but they are not removed. When the new version of Integrity VM starts, the virtual machines might also start, depending on the setting of the guest boot attribute

Re: hpvm 4.1

IIRC the maximum CPU number of a guest is currently 8.

Hope this helps!

Re: hpvm 4.1

You must have at least the same number of physical cores and physical CPUs.

You cannot have less physical than virtual.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: hpvm 4.1

this contradits the above statement..

However, Integrity VM allows you to create a virtual machine with more vCPUs than the number
of physical CPUs on the VM Host system. Warning messages are displayed if there are not
enough physical CPUs to run the virtual machine. This feature allows you to create virtual
machines for future configurations. However, the virtual machine is not allowed to start on a
VM Host system that does not have enough physical CPUs.

"this contradicts the above statement.."

No, this confirms the above statement.

If you have less physical than virtual assigned, the guest can't start.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
