hpxw8400
Hi,
I am having Hpxw8400 workstation Rhel4 64bit installed. Workstation motherboard 1is not working part number (442028-001).So we got new motherboard part number (442029-001)and the new motherboard seams more different from the old one if i install new one on the same workstation will rhel4 OS crash.

There seems to be a lot of variants of your xw8400 workstation. Please find the Product Number of your workstation (it's something like XXNNNXX, where X's are letters and N's are numbers). Then you can use partsurfer.hp.com website to confirm that the motherboard is correct for your exact model:

What's the update level of your RHEL4 OS? RedHat's Hardware Compatibility List indicates RHEL 4 Update 3 (and above) is supported on your hardware; older update levels of RHEL 4 are not guaranteed to work.
