ia64_corehw process running on PA-RISC machine.

I have a PA-RISC machine running HP-UX 11.31 . On this i find a process named /usr/sbin/stm/uut/bin/tools/monitor/ia64_corehw to be running. Do i need to stop this process ?

Hi Pulse,

here more info about that process:

http://docs.hp.com/en/diag/ems/emd_ia64core.htm

It's a diagnostic process, you don't have to kill that, no worries that its name is ia64 and instead you have PA-RISC, you don't have to worry about that.

HTH.

Best regards,

Re: ia64_corehw process running on PA-RISC machine.

This monitoring process is reading the system hardware logs (FPL-forward progress logs), on all hardware platforms.

Don#T worry about the name!

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
