Re: ignite daemons / processes

When all is idle there is no ignite daemon as such running.

Ignite is dependant on a number of things in order to work. NFS and swagentd are two main ones.

While a make_net_recovery is running you will see a number of ignite processes but they only exist during the process.

Re: ignite daemons / processes

There are various processes and daemons which need to run on Ignite server and client for a successful recovery. Some processes are part of ignite itself, for example list_expander running on the client, some are autonomous, for instance tftpd running on the server.

If you can tell us what is exactly your purpose and define your question more precisly we may be able to help and give you more relevant information.

Re: ignite daemons / processes

Kevin, the Ignite server talks to the client via networking.. so, if the beginning the low-level services or daemons are at the networking layer. best read up on what all this stuff means.. NFS, TFPT, INET.SEC, DNS., google "bootsys ignite", etc.
