Re: ignite log

Hi:

The directories and their contents can be deleted. There is a symbolic link called "latest" which points to the latest (no surprise!) directory, but that isn't a problem.

Regards!

Re: ignite log

Hi Farhan,

Ignite, by default will keep last two backups and its log files. So that we can restore any one of last two backups if needed.

It is upto you to decide, whether you need the old backups or not.
Best wishes,

Ganesh.

Re: ignite log

Shalom,

You can delete it, but I strongly recommend some kind of ignite backup be done on all hosts.

Its key to disaster recovery.

Re: ignite log

hi

These are text files and logs of ignite and are well dated regarding the logs of the make_tape_recovery/make_net_recovery backups.
So i think these small files you should keep with you on the system.

Or if a copy of them )if they are network archive logs) exists on the Ignite server you can remove them from the clients.(As these are some small text files that do not take much space i would prefer them to be on the system).

On an ignite server the make_net_recovery logs for the configured clients are kept at the
/var/opt/ignite/clients/{0XLLA}/recovery/ directory.
