Re: in kickstart file how to put full installation pacakge list

In your case, would do a EVERYTHING installation and then use the /root/anaconda-ks.cfg as template.

In MY case, I won't ever do an EVERYTHING installation as a lot of unneeded packages will be installed (even when Oracle recommends a EVERYTHING installation). ¿For example, do you need Hebrew language, games, X development, etc?

Maybe system-config-kickstart may help you to select the required packages.

On the installation media, the base/ directory contains a file called comps.xml that lists all packages information.

Re: in kickstart file how to put full installation pacakge list

Shalom,

Everything install is available for RHEL 4. RH does not recommend it. As a matter of fact when I took the RHCE they blocked it as an install method.

Everything install was pulled from RHEL 5 by RH
