increase root filesystem

can I increase the size of the root (/) filesystem, whitout using the ignite tape.
HP-UX 11.00 or 11i

No, you cannot increase the size of the root "/" filesystem without going the ignite / reinstallation way.

Not really no. Unless you were weird enough to have a logical volume bigger than the filesystem when you installed it.
Never preceed any demonstration with anything more predictive than "watch this"

If you have onlineJFS and a spare disk, you can try this,
