Re: increase the font size in HPUX

Hi Steven,

I am using "TeraTerm VT" for login on to servers.

Re: increase the font size in HPUX

Which version of TeraTerm?

Perhaps one of the old versions available here?
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002416/teraterm.html

If you scroll down on that page, there is a TERMINFO file for TeraTerm. The teralin1.tgz package includes a file that lists all the terminal control codes understood by the old versions of TeraTerm. Unfortunately the double-width/double-height codes are not there, so obviously they are not supported.

Like Steven said: the double-width/double-height functionality is very rarely used, and many terminal emulators don't implement it.

There are multiple newer versions of TeraTerm available. If your version is newer than 2.3, please read this Wikipedia article to identify your version in more detail:

I never said anything like "very rarely
used", only something like "often
unavailable".

A fair question (and one which should never
need to be asked).

I'm pretty successful at avoiding Windows, so
I seldom use TeraTerm (any version), and so
I know little of its capabilities.

For the curious (who don't get out much),
I've attached an image of a genuine DECterm
showing a little DCL and its results.

Re: increase the font size in HPUX

Interestingly enough, a Mac OS X (10.5.8)
"Terminal" application seems to do quite
well, too, and it seems to have all the fonts
it needs, too. (See attachment.)

The Mac's "xterm" tries, and does better than
some, but it's not so good as the real thing.
