increase /var on DG-UX box
Hello,
We have the following server:
DG-UX R4.20MU06 and I need to increase /var - I haven't used DG-UX before but understand I need to use sysadm utility - my questions are:
1. Can I increase /var on the fly or do I have to take it down to single user mode?
2. How can I tell how much space I have left on my disks? I've looked through sysadm but I'm not DG-UX savvy - so haven't got a clue how to go about doing this ......
can anyone advise?
Many thanks!

Re: increase /var on DG-UX box
Is DG-UX HP-UX?
You can increase the size of the /var if you use LVM, offline and online.
Offline: without any special software or license.
Online: you need OnLineJFS.

Re: increase /var on DG-UX box
I think I'm getting DG-UX confused with DEC - don't think it is HP-UX - guess I'll just have to have a play around and see if I can change it via the sysadm utility.
Many thanks for your assistance.
