inetd.sec

Dear All,
I am trying to restrict the telnet to limited Nos of IP's and for that I need to edit the inetd.sec file, however in my Box (RX 6600HPUX 11iv2), I do not have any such file, however this file exist in RP servers for the same version of HPUX.
Please Advice on the same.

Thanks in advance

Re: inetd.sec

Hi Mohhamad,

If the /var/adm/inetd.sec file does not exist on your host, copy /usr/newconfig/var/adm/inetd.sec to /var/adm/inetd.sec.

Best regards,

Re: inetd.sec

Hi Mohammad:

The file is an optional file. Simply create it. For details, see:

Regards!

Re: inetd.sec

Hi,

Its, optional file

>>however this file exist in RP servers for the same version of HPUX<<

You could copy that same file with same file permission to Box (RX 6600HPUX 11iv2)

Once copied,

issue the below command to re-read your configuration file

# inetd -c

Thx,
Johnson
