Relatively HP-UX newbie here. I have just run a sar тАУv 5 5 and noticed the following: -
08:02:02 text-sz ov proc-sz ov inod-sz ov file-sz ov
08:02:07 N/A N/A 83/276 0 486/486 0 882/930 0
08:02:12 N/A N/A 83/276 0 486/486 0 882/930 0
08:02:17 N/A N/A 83/276 0 486/486 0 882/930 0
08:02:22 N/A N/A 83/276 0 486/486 0 882/930 0
08:02:27 N/A N/A 83/276 0 486/486 0 882/930 0
To my knowledge, thatтАЩs telling me that IтАЩm out of inodes but IтАЩm still able to create new files. Am I completely reading this incorrectly?

Your output shows that your inode cache is at maximum value but did not have any overflows.

Re: inod-sz seems full
check df -i to check the inode status.
