# ioscan -fnC target

Thank you.

Re: ioscan options and output

Experimentation is usually the best to figure something out.  Here's output from one of my systems:

root@sg1:/ # ioscan -knfC target
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
======================================================================
target 7 0/0/1/0.7 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 0 0/0/1/1.0 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 2 0/0/1/1.2 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 4 0/0/1/1.7 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 1 0/0/2/0.0 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 6 0/0/2/0.7 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 8 0/0/2/0.14 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 3 0/0/2/1.2 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 5 0/0/2/1.7 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE
target 9 0/8/0/0.8.0.255.4.0 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE

target 11 0/8/0/0.8.0.255.4.15 tgt CLAIMED DEVICE

Here's a full ioscan so you can see where the 'target's come from:

Re: ioscan options and output

The TARGET is just that...the target device on the path.  By itself it is not much, but combined with the previous entry (ext_bus for example) and the following entry (disk for example) in the IO tree you can see what that device is attached to and what that device is.
