iscsiutil: (/dev/iscsi) Wrong device file
Hi,
I am not able to start Iscsi in our HPUX 11i server.could you please help me to resolve this issue.
# /sbin/init.d/iscsi start
iscsiutil: (/dev/isw) Wrong device file.
iscsiutil: (/dev/iscsi) Wrong device file.
iscsiutil: (/dev/iscsi) Wrong device file.
Started iscsi_resolvd daemon
Started iswd daemon
iscsiutil: (/dev/iscsi) Wrong device file.
iscsiutil: (/dev/iscsi) Wrong device file.
The SLP User Agent for iSCSI islpd is not started.
If you intended to use SLP, the following could be the cause for failure:
One of the files: /usr/sbin/slpd, /usr/bin/slpdc or /opt/iscsi/bin/islpd
is either not present or does not have execute permission.

Re: iscsiutil: (/dev/iscsi) Wrong device file
I never worked with this.
As per documents, it is because of installation is not proper.
Read this.

Re: iscsiutil: (/dev/iscsi) Wrong device file
Thanks a lot for your replay.
I have removed the /dev/iscsi device file and reinstall the iSCSI-00, it recreated /dev/iscsi device file. it resolved the issue.
