Start with Simple Question ?

Are you running the command with "root" access /privlidges

Re: lanscan - Unable to open device file

Try "ioscan -kfnClan". If that errors as well, try recreating your device files with "insf -e".

Unable to open device file /dev/dlpi

Device file /dev/dlpi does not exist.

Could be Device has been corrupted. please try

#ioscan -fn
#ioscan -fnC lan
# insf -e -> update the device file & drivers

What about other network related commands like linkloop etc? Do they work fine?
