Re: limitation to store files in folder

It that 5 million or .5 million?
That's way too many files for directory search performance.

This directory may so large (> 2 Gb) that you need to enable largefiles.
What does "ll -d directory" show?

Can you use this on the NFS server:
fsadm -F vxfs raw-device-name

Re: limitation to store files in folder

Hello,

i cant do fsadm, its on Netapp storage, I only found one option that is change inode settings, which i already done,

pls feel free to send more thoughts. For short term i had removed few files from there and able to create new files, but its not long term solusion if any body having same issue in past can share, else will close this thread.

>I can't do fsadm, it's on Netapp storage,

There should be a corresponding command to increase the max filesize on the Netapp.
