list vdump tape contents
Hi all,
I have a vdump tape with multiple savesets and don't have a list of what is on the tape.
Anyone have a command or procedure to list the name of each vdump on the tape?
Also I haven't figured out how to assign points in this "new" forum. How does one
do that ?
Regards, John W.

They have names? (VMS BACKUP save sets have names, but that's not
vdump.) If you want to see what's _in_ one, then ...
man vrestore
Look for "-t" and/or "-l". If there's more than one thing on the tape,
then I'd use a non-rewinding tape device, and repeat until it stops
working.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, but I believe that the "Kudos!"
button (toward the left) has something to do with it.
