Re: log

Hi Madhu,

These are the main logs which we need to check...
/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
/var/adm/crash/
/var/opt/resmon/logs/event.log
/var/adm/syslog/mail.log
Shutdown log: /etc/shutdownlog
Boot log: /etc/rc.log
Network log: /var/adm/syslog/nettl.LOG000

Software install/package logs:
a. /var/adm/sw/swagentd.log
b. /var/adm/sw/swremove.log
c. /var/adm/swagent.log
d. /var/adm/sw/swmodify.log
e. /var/adm/sw/swinstall.log
f. /var/adm/sw/swcopy.log
g. /var/adm/sw/swpackage.log
h. /var/adm/sw/swverify.log

/var/adm/syslog/sylog.log
/var/sam/log/samlog
/var/opt/resmon/log/even.log
/var/adm/ptydaemonlog
/var/adm/cron.jobs/DLT.log File

You can create your own script like in simple..

date
cd /var/adm/syslog
more syslog.log
read
cd /var/opt/resmon/log
more event.log

......and so on...
