Use the depots not the attached files.

You really can't be sure of the attached files. With the 1 MB attachement limit to the forums, you really can't be sure you got the entire appliation.

You may for lsof want to actually download the tar file and compile it yourself.

Don't forget to install all dependencies.

The software porting and archive center depots will install without dependencies but they won't work unless these dependencies are installed.

I am continually amazed (and dismayed) by the posting of attachments that constitute documents from HP and/or software that can be downloaded from standard sources as Duncan notes.

I am reminded of the "Teach a man to fish..." parable. I would think that you would want the freshest fish.

lsof is also included in Internet Express from HP.
