no, just the original sendmail.
The only thing that we did is change the hostname of our mail server, so I had to run the mailsetup again and provide the new host.

safe_open() is a function which is part of libc. So please check if the function is within the named library.

When did the problem occured? After installing patchkit or simple changing the sendmail.cf file? If so please revert changes and check if it is still working.

To be sure the installed version of sendmail doesn't change, please verify checksum against original version within the CD kit.
