major & minor no in Oracle RAC setup

We are building Oracle RAC setup on HP-UX 11.31 OS servers. 2 node cluster.

Shared disk need to have same major & minor no. on both the nodes without mounting it.

Is it possible to have same major & minor no. on both the nodes for the same shared raw device.

Please let me know the procedure.

First you need shared storage.

After this storage is recognized by system follow this procedure:

vgexport the volume group once completely set up:

Use preview (-p) and mapfile (-m) to create the export.

Then vgimport it to the same node. You will need to repeat part of the vgcreate process.
