make_tape_recovery

Hello.

i've took one backup from a cluster server. mirrored disks was active.
then i am doing recovery now.
i saw only one harddisk is blinking so that i feel the mirror will not work.
any help.

Bonjour,

If OS was mirrored with LVM Mirror, ignite doesn't mirror it back. Once your box will be restored, you will have to mirror again the whole vg00.

The restore goes always to only 1 disk if the disks were mirrored by LVM.

You need to either restore the mirror manually or script this into the restore routine.

Hardware mirrors will stay mirrored, of course.

Hi Manoj,

One advantage is that recovery will be fast if mirror disk not recovered.

You can manually recover the mirror disk later or change the post script to automate it.
