making sure local disks are tuned...

We have our HPUX servers running 11.31.  I have Data Protector 9.05 for backup.  I am trying to backup over fiber. The SLOWEST point seems to be the local disks.  Being new to the Sysadmin world how can I make sure the disks are mounted so the I/O is maximixed?  here is what is currently in the fstab:

$ more /etc/fstab
# System /etc/fstab file.  Static information about the file systems
# See fstab(4) and sam(1M) for further details on configuring devices.
/dev/vg00/lvol3 / vxfs delaylog 0 1
/dev/vg00/lvol1 /stand vxfs tranflush 0 1
/dev/vg00/lvol4 /tmp vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvol5 /home vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvol6 /opt vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvol7 /usr vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvol8 /var vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvsapmnt /sapmnt vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvusrsapjbp /usr/sap/JBP vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvoracle /oracle vxfs delaylog 0 2
/dev/vg00/lvswap / swap defaults 0 0
/dev/vg00/lvsapdaa /usr/sap/DAA vxfs delaylog,datainlog 0 2

The disk gets a long queue.  I'd post a photo of glance but the HP site is wonky and won't upload.

I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks!
