I'm looking to upgrade some systems currently on rhel4.7 to the new rhel4.8 which ships with the 2.6.9-89.EL kernel. The PSP installation instructions talk about minimum and maximum supported kernel versions, but no where does it say what these are.
Does anyone know where to find this?
Thanks,
John

Re: max/min kernels supported by psp-8.25.rhel4.x86_64 ?
Here is a support matrix.
http://docs.hp.com/en/483101-001/SM-483101-001.pdf
It usually takes about 3 months minimum for a new RHEL 4.x release to be tested. It is supported normally with a new release of PSP.

SolutionThe software itself ships with a readme file that includes supported versions.
I doubt that without a new PSP release rhel 4.8 will be supported at this time.

Re: max/min kernels supported by psp-8.25.rhel4.x86_64 ?
You're right, I downloaded the kit, unpacked it and found the hppldu_v825.rhel4.txt file. Kernel versions supported for RHEL 4 are:
2.6.9-11 (Update 1) through 2.6.9-78.EL (Update 7)
So I'm out of luck until the next PSP release.
Thanks,
John
