maximum password character

Hi,
I have one server runnning in trusted environment.For some application users, I want to restrict the passord character to five.please help me in resovin fhe issue.

hi,

for trusted system, minimum password length can be any value from 6 to 80.

Hi Arun,

Password length paramenter along with many others, can be configured via the security defaults configuration file /etc/default/security.

The following are some of the settings

o NUMBER_OF_LOGINS_ALLOWED

(introduced in 11.22)

o PASSWORD_MINDAYS
(introduced in 11.22)

o SU_ROOT_GROUP
(introduced in 11.00 via PHCO_16127)

o SU_DEFAULT_PATH
(introduced in 11.11)
