Hi;
I have 3 GB installed (per node) DS25 cluster , and I want to know physical memory modules sizes that is installed on the machine (e.g : it can be 3x1GB installed or it can be 1x2GB + 1x1GB installed)
How can I check that info from command line or from a tool without powering off the machine? (vmstat output does not show this info)
see below from one node:
soft85 #vmstat -P|grep -i phy
Total Physical Memory = 3072.00 M
Physical Memory Clusters:
Physical Memory Use:
Total Physical Memory Use: 392554 / 3066.83M

Hi,
As far as I'm aware, it is not possible to get this information with the operating system running. You will have to shut down to the SRM prompt (P00>>>) and issue a "show mem" or "show config" (possibly "show fru")
The DS25 has 16 memory slots that make up 4 memory banks. Each bank can contain 512MB, 1GB, 2GB or 4GB.

Cheers,
Rob
