Re: mounting disk from hpux 11.00 to hpux 11.31

Hi:

Your VxFS layout version is <3> and your 11.31 supports only version <4> or later. If you have JFS 3.3 on your 11.0 server, upgrade there to version <4>.

Re: mounting disk from hpux 11.00 to hpux 11.31

is it what you mean ?

# swlist |grep -i jfs
PHKL_24011 1.0 JFS 3.3 fix panic due to FS corruption
PHKL_24014 1.0 JFS 3.1 cummulative corruption and panic fix

and how to upgrade?

Re: mounting disk from hpux 11.00 to hpux 11.31

If any VxFS file system with disk layout version 2 or version 3 has been created, these file systems cannot be mounted under VxFS 4.1 on HP-UX 11i v3. Please use the vxfsconvert command to upgrade the disk layout to version 4

Re: mounting disk from hpux 11.00 to hpux 11.31

Hi (again):

If you want to mount this filesystem on both 11.0 and 11.31 you need to have JFS 3.3 on your 11.0 server. Luckily, you can download it from:

http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B8861E

You use 'vxupgrade' to perform the layout uplift. See the manpages for details. This only requires a small amount of free space in the filesystem and only takes a few seconds to perform.

Is this server 11.11 or 11.0 as your opening remarks and subject line would say?
