when checked through SAM usage is shown as -- Module is pm_sync

Cant we check whats the current usage of this param ? Not visible in kcusage -l

Got reply from HP,

Thread closed.

Kernel parameter msgmnb (maximum number of bytes on a single System V IPC message queue) can be changed online and can be reverted back if needed.

 

# kctune -v msgmnb

Tunable             msgmnb

Description         Maximum size of a message queue (bytes)

Module              pm_usync

Current Value       16384 [Default]

Value at Next Boot  16384 [Default]

Value at Last Boot  16384

Default Value       16384

Constraints         msgmnb >= 0

                    msgmnb <= 67108864

Can Change          Immediately or at Next Boot
