multipath device in blacklisted

the multipath.conf has every line started with # except lines like below:
defaults {
user_friendly_names yes
}

why one of EMC LUNs is shown as:
sr0 blacklisted in multipath -v3 output?
how to take the blacklisted out so the LUN can be seen?
any suggestion? thanks.

Re: multipath device in blacklisted

"sr0" would normally be the name of the first CD-ROM/DVD drive detected by the system.

Are you sure it is an EMC LUN in your case?

yes. multipath -v3 show it as EMC symmetrix lun, but blocked...maybe it is multipath bug..wondering how to release that lun.

Re: multipath device in blacklisted

If you are using EMC luns and it is multipath, Dont you use emc powerpath software to control these luns ? . If you do use it, then run these commands,
# powermt check
# powermt config
# powermt display dev=all

See if this release the lock ??
