multipathing in 11i v2

Hi,

Is multipathing avilable for SAN lun's in HP-UX 11.23?
In pvdisplay i can see the alternate path...does this mean that multipathing is enabled?

...depends what you mean by multipathing - if you mean supporting failover of IO to a redundant path then yes. If you mean load balancing of IO to a single LUN down multiple paths then no.

Failover is built in.

Load balancing requires additional third party software.

If you are seeing Alternate links, then pv links is used.


secure path -> hpux native maultipathing software

swlist -l |grep -i secure
