So presumably 172.19.21.144 is the IP address of your PC? And you are running some sort of X windows server software on it?

If not, you can't run the GUI version of glance, you'll just have to use the character version, by typing:
# glance

Else if you want to use gpm from a PC
you need to hae a X server on your PC.
if under windows, you can use
-cygwin Xserver
-reflexionX
...
if you are under linux, just add remote connections to X server
Also you need to execute "xhost +"
to permit X11 accesses.
