# SAVECRASH_DIR:Directory name for system crash dumps. Note: the filesystem
# in which this directory is located should have as much free
# space as your system has RAM.
# SAVECRASH_DIR=/var/adm/crash

That you can point to a different filesystem.

Re: need to insert entry into /etc/rc.config.d/savecore

Greetings,
hpux10.20?
(Dont worry I also still have some running...)

In the file /etc/rc.config.d/savecore

# SAVECORE: Set to 0 to disable saving system core files.
SAVECORE=1

# SAVECORE_DIR: Directory name for system core files. Note: the filesystem
# in which this directory is located should have as much free
# space as your system has RAM.
SAVECORE_DIR=/var/adm/crash

Thats all
