Hi,

>> How to check whether a system is trusted <<

Check for the existence of directory structure /tcb or run the following command :

# /usr/lbin/getprdef -r
System is not trusted.

Re: non expiry on HP

Hi Again,

>How can i check system in trusted mode or not?<

Just check the existance of /tcb directory. If /tcb directory exist, it is trusted.

By default, password aging will not be applied to the users in non-trusted system unless you set it via "passwd -x " command or /etc/default/security file.

If you already set the password aging for that account, use this command to set non-expiry.

#passwd -x 0
Best wishes,

Ganesh.

Hi Again,

Forget to mention. Add the user name with passwd command.

#passwd -x 0
