Hi,

try to boot from previous kernel, see:

Check if /stand/vmunix exists.

Well, this is a new installation then, no recovery like known from win.

Do you have a backup or ignite backup/tape?

If you have the installation media for the version of HP-UX installed you could try the "Recovery Menu" from the Main Installation Menu.  There is an option to try and rebuild/replace the kernel.

From the HPUX> prompt try

 

HPUX> ls -la

to see

 if you can acce

ss /stand and if you have a backup kernel.Try to boo

t the backup

kernel:

HPUX> boot backup
