nsr directories and files

I'm tidying the root file system and come across a set of directories and files under /nsr. Now I understand these are something to do with Legato Networker which we don't use. How do I remove these files under /nsr? Can I just remove them or are they installed as part of a package? I've removed the Networker package but these still remain

Re: nsr directories and files

Hi,

- remove Networker package
- "lsof" or "fuser" for /nsr directory.
- backup /nsr directory
- delete /nsr files and directory.

Re: nsr directories and files

Legato networker product is using /nsr directory. If you are not using legato then you can remove it.
Be sure networker is not running/used:
ps -ef | grep nsr
swlist -l product | grep -i networker

Re: nsr directories and files

Hi Simon,

if you already removed Networkwer package I think you can safely remove /nsr directory.

However in the future be sure to have /nsr directory mounted on a filesystem other than / (root). When Networker will write log files (so sited in root filesystem) it's easier to get root filesystem full resulting in (even!) boot failures. So pay attention to have /nsr like a different filesystem in the future.

HTH.

Best regards,
Fabio
