one node clustering

Can any one provide details for configuring one node cluster with MCSG?

Read the Managing Serviceguard manual, just follow the steps but only for one server/node

Re: one node clustering

In short: only specify a single machine in your cmclconfig.ascii file. But this doesn't make much sense. I only do things like this if it was meant so temporarily. (e.g. we have a cluster that will be decomissioned, and we wanted to decomission this month only the 2nd node, the first node runs until end of january - so we deconfigured the 2nd node from the cluster in order to cleanly decomission it)

If you want to do this for migrating SG packages to this one-node environment, instead you should configure the virtual IPs in netconf, and create some init scripts to run your applications. Furthermore, you can set auto VG activation in /etc/lvmrc
