Re: pam_limits on HPUX

In Linux, pam_limits is a PAM module for setting ulimit values in a login-method-independent way.

In HP-UX, the defaults of some ulimit values are controlled by kernel parameters. If more control is needed, it's the sysadmin's job to add the appropriate ulimit commands to /etc/profile and/or other login scripts.

The "ulimit" command belongs to POSIX standards, and thus it's very similar in Linux and HP-UX.
