print server
How i can configure my linux box for printing in a multiport printserver (hp 500x). i tried with webjetadmin for linux and doesn't work.
I'm using red hat 6.2

have you tried printtool? (comes with Red Hat)
Check the Howtos for info - the 3 jetdirect ports are either text1, text2, and text3 - raw1,raw2, and raw3 (I think printtool is an LPD thing, so those should work.) Also the ports can be 9100, 9101, and 9102 (udp ports I believe)

Try RedHat 7.2 it now has all the jetdirect drivers standard, and as recommended above use printtool

Hi,
i suggest you to use apsfilter (http://www.apsfilter.org). With this software
you can print via samba to ntprintservers, to
remote printservers, etc ...
It works really fine
