Please help me for following issue:--
We are having the sap network printer and it is configured on HP-ux server, this queue continually disables itself. Numerous files are waiting to print on it.
(1) lpstat –a showing accepting print request
(2) print queue has been enabled but after some time it is again disabled by itself.
(3)sam o/p is as
Enabled Accepting │
Name Type To Print Requests Location
CRMTG network no yes -
(4) It should map to IP address LPD queue but I can ping the
IP.
Please let me know your inputs
Regards,
Subodh.

Re: printer disable by itself
To build on prior ideas.
There is no way for a printer to disable itself. It is not smart enough to do that.
What happens is conditions are met in the print spool that cause the printer status to go off line.
These conditions are logged, and they can be dealt with depending on what they are.
