printing challenges
we do lot of moving around from one server to other. I use the feature of save / restore option and move printers . Few questions
- how can i move only selective printers from one server to others (appending them to already existing printers).
- how to deal with different kind of printers specially - sharp multi functional printers , dell etc.
I also use jet admin utility to create printer.
Any help appreciated.

Re: printing challenges
It looks like save and restore only deal with all printers.
This recent thread deals with lpadmin(1m) directly. Perhaps if you set it up once, you can use the same script on other machines.

Re: printing challenges
Hi Deepak,
To move all the printers from one server to another server is here.
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447626+1239340504850+28353475&threadId=981740
Probably you need to keep the selective printers and remove the unwanted printers from the savedir before you restore on destination server.
Hope this helps
